Choosing BI was easy: it is the only school in Norway that offers a Bachelor degree in Business taught entirely in English. With new facilities and a faculty with strong educational backgrounds, my choice was final. BI is truly international. Whilst working on projects I meet students from many different countries who offered unique and differing points of view making the projects that much more complete and comprehensive. I believe this experience will help me with my future plans of working in a multinational setting. My exchange experience at Bocconi University Milan, Italy enabled me to compare management practices in Norway and Italy and get a “taste” for yet another culture. Having graduated from BI in July 2008, I will now continue my postgraduate studies in MSc in Finance at Bocconi. This opportunity arose due to the exchange partnership between Bocconi and BI and BI’s overall standing as one of the prestigious schools in Scandinavia.
I knew from the very beginning that I was interested in an international business education. After studying in Australia and Spain, I started the BBA programme at BI. That is a choice I have yet to regret! I chose BI because it is one of Europe’s leading business schools and it is highly recognised in Norwegian Business-life. As a student at BI you are taken seriously and feel “taken care of”. The faculty is available to help you. In addition, the Student Union at BI offers you a great social student life alongside your studies, which also is a very important part of being a student! The programme is ideal for me as it is very international, it is taught in English and has excellent exchange possibilities. Last year, I was an exchange student in Bangkok, which was an experience I will remember for the rest of my life. After graduation I was selected as an international trainee at Jotun (900 applicants). The international study background/BBA was an important factor as to why I was one of the few chosen ones. Due to my work in Dubai and Shanghai I became a Scandinavian Product Manager at Jotun, Norway. Now I have decided to move on and start my own business.
