Nanyang Technological University (originally the Nanyang Technological Institute) was set up in 1981. Since then, it has become one of the leading technological universities in Asia Pacific. Nanyang Technological University (NTU) has an enrolment of 16.000 undergraduates. Currently, there are 3.300 international undergraduates studying at NTU. The main campus of NTU occupies a beautiful 200-hectare site in the south-western part of Singapore, about 25 km from the city centre.

Accommodation
There are sixteen Halls of Residence, which offer single or double occupancy rooms. The University can also help students find off-campus accommodation; it holds a list of private apartments and rooms available for rent.
