Seminar: Private actors in the aid landscape
Seminar held in April based on a study on the role of private Norwegian actors in Sub-Saharan Africa made by MICRO for NORAD. Questions like "What lies behind the trend of the increased engagement by private actors?" and "what are the private actors strengths and weaknesses?" were adressed and discussed.

MICRO and students from GRA 5923 visits KenyaOctober 12th 2008 marked the start of an important week in the lives of many Master of Science students from BI taking the course 'Development Studies: Trade, Aid and Microfinance'. Fourteen students, whom of most were visiting Africa for the first time, arrived in Nairobi for a week of unforgettable experiences.

Professor Welle-Strand addressing the Throne Holst Conference
On the 14th of June Anne Welle-Strand addressed the annual Johan Throne Holst
Conference at BI Norwegian School of Management. The topic of the conference was "Global winners" and Welle-Strand lectured on "the role of business schools in development aid". Her lecture is available on request after the conference.
