Anne Welle-Strand,  Director of MICRO
Professor Welle-Strand has been working in the field of development aid in many years as a practicioner and a researcher. After graduating from the University of Oslo she did her Ph.D and post.doc within development and education at the University of Stockholm. She is currently the director of MICRO and CEM - Centre for Education Management Research . Her main research interests are the relationship between development management, cultural impact, political reform, economic thinking, learning and education, environment effects and sustainable development. She has been a visiting scholar at Hong Kong University, Xiamen University, University of Western Cape and Stanford University. Anne Welle-Strand holds a Chair in Development Studies and Microfinace.

Nick Sitter, Professor BI

Nick Sitter is an expert on the European Union and international political economy. Sitter holds a Ph.D in Political Economy from London School of Economics and Political Science and is currently a professor at BI Norwegian School of Management where he is the associate dean for the MSc in Political Economy. His main research interests are EU politics, comparative politics and public policy. He has been a visiting scholar at the London School of Economics, American University Washington and Central European University in Budapest.

Torger Reve, Professor BI
Torger Reve is, among other fields, an expert on industrial competitiveness and business strategy. He has a Ph.D in marketing from Kellogg Graduate School of Management, Northwestern University and currently holds the Wilh Wilhelmsen chair in industrial competitiveness at BI Norwegian School of Management. Reve is active in the public debate on international development and is the chairman of the Council of Strømme Foundation. He has a particular interest in marketing channels, interorganisational relations, business strategy and industrial competitiveness and has been a visiting professor at among others Fudan University, Nanyang University and Harvard University.

Lars Huemer, Associate Professor BI
Lars Huemer is working within the fields of interorganizational relationships and international management. He has a particular interest in the relationship between indigenous people and multi-national corporations and the impact on corporate strategy, CR and society. Huemer holds a Ph.D from Umeå School of Business and Economics and has been working as associate professor at BI Norwegian School of Management since 1999. He has also been a visiting scholar at Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez and University of Technology, Sidney.

Asle Toje,  Researcher at MICRO
Asle Toje (b. 1974) finished his D.Phil.-degree in 2007 at the Centre of International Studies, University of Cambridge. From fall 2008 to fall 2009 he was affiliated to the Centre for Development Studies and Microfinance (MICRO) as a researcher. His research interest include integration studies, strategic studies and development studies. He has authored the book «America, the EU and Strategic Culture: Renegotiating the Transatlantic Bargain» (Routledge, 2008). Toje has been a visiting scholar at the Stiftung Wissenschaft und Politik in Berlin and the European Union Institute for security Studies in Paris. He was awarded the Trygve Lie Fulbright Scholarship at Columbia University in New York 2005–2006.
