Department of Financial Economics focuses its reseach primarily on firms’ financial decisions, with an emphasis on different aspects of ownership and the value creation process.
The Department’s faculty also study the over-the-counter market (OTC) and the Norwegian and international banking industries.
The Department has a strong international orientation with academic staff from ten different nationalities. The Department’s international profile is evident in their recruitment policies, academic publications and teaching.
