Business with an international twist
Caroline from Sweden had her mind set on an international degree, and found what she was looking for in BI’s bachelor in Business administration.
- I chose the Bachelor of Business Administration mainly because I wanted to study in English. Because I intend to work abroad, most likely in the UK or US, I find it vital to know English as if it was my mother tongue, Caroline comments.
- I also wanted to study with people from different parts of the world in order to expand my knowledge and understanding of other people and cultures. BI is one of the few schools in Scandinavia where you can study an English bachelors degree.
Practical and theoretical learning combined
Many students experience subjects as too theoretical. So far this is not the experience that Caroline has of her studies.
- BI offers a very good mix of theoretical and practical learning. I am not only developing and learning through classes, but also from meeting people from different cultures and with different knowledge, Caroline explains.
- Our lecturers often have industrial experience and are still active in the marketplace. This makes them think in a more practical way and they are therefore a resource for the students.
Vast social opportunities
Caroline also highlights the social opportunities that the school offers as a real asset for students.
- There are many opportunities to meet people and to develop all sorts of skills through extra curriculum activities. I have found several activities through our student union, for instance the sailing team and the Private Equity Investment Banking group.
- In addition to these extra curriculum activities I have found a job within the student sphere where I work as a consultant for the student based company StudConsult AS.
All of these extra curriculum activities that the student organization at BI provides are an amazing resource to all BI students, Caroline adds.
