Calculations of GPA with letter grades only
1. Each letter grade is replaced by an equivalent number, A=5, B=4, C=3, D=2, E=1
2. The equivalent number is multiplied with the number of credits in the course
3. The products of the credits and equivalent number are added up for the courses included in the GPA
4. The sum of the products under point 3 is divided by the total number of credits in the GPA. The Quotient is calculated with one decimal and then rounded off downwards (.0-.4) or upwards (.5 -.9).
