IBC 2010 – Mission (im)possible?
The 31st International Bunker Conference met in Stockholm at Clarion Hotel Sign 28-30 April 2010. As organisers BI Norwegian School of Management is proud to confirm that IBC 2010 is supported by the industry and has remained a proactive forum for more than a generation since its introduction in 1979.
After last year’s success in Oslo “The roadmap to 2020” we raised a series of questions: Is it a mission impossible? Or mission possible? Has the regulations shown any effect so far, does the industry cope with the regulations and last, but not least, is the development of new technology keeping us on track?
Our speakers focused on a variety of current subjects concerning the industry seen from a political, industrial, environmental and scientifical point of view through the various sessions leading us towards some answers to whether the roadmap to 2020 is a possible or impossible mission.

IBC is forum for in-depth presentations of papers on issues and subjects of importance to the international bunker industry and for dialogue as well as exchange of knowledge and information. Our main asset is a close cooperation with industrial partners such as oil companies, ship owners and class and our priority is to deliver quality-based subject content and a network for IBC delegates.
More than 150 people from 80 companies in 20 countries participated at IBC 2010. The conference provides an ideal networking opportunity for businesses and organisations working within the bunker sector and beyond.
