BI’s major in international business takes a cross-disciplinary approach to provide in depth understanding of the international business environment and firms’ approaches to doing business cross borders. The major transcends traditional subject specializations and draw on strategy, organization, marketing, finance and economics to provide a broad range of theoretical perspectives, models and methods for managing the complexity of international business.
Candidates will acquire a deep understanding of economic and institutional factors in the international business environment, and be able to evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of firms’ alternative strategies for foreign operations. The major entails compulsory exchange in the third semester, in order to integrate theory and experience of living and studying abroad. A major in international business prepares candidates for a career in multinational corporations or international entrepreneurial ventures.
