Pernille:
Hi again,
Some weeks are busier than others, and I have been occupied with school and work for the last week. So I have not had any time working on my CV due to preparations for two oral presentations but hopefully I will get it done by next week. I really want it to be finished in time for the Career Day, which I am really looking forward to. I will definitely attend both stands and presentations!
In short terms, last week looked like this;
It started with oversleeping to a meeting at 8:00. It is the worst way you can start your day and after a lot of stress and frustration, I showed up 30 minutes late. I hate oversleeping and it really set the mood for the rest of the day.
At Tuesday I attended a breakfast lecture with senior manager Hans-Petter Nygård from Accenture. He had an enlightening and interesting presentation concerning “effective communication – what it is and why it is important”. I really enjoyed the good variety of personal experiences and theory during the presentation, and it was a nice breakfast afterwards.
The rest of the week I have (as mentioned) been preparing for two oral presentations in “Economic Psychology” and “Organizational learning”, feeling both exited and nervous at the same time. I have had my good share of oral presentations, but still I tend to let the nerves take the best of me. So, I have to focus on keeping them under control - “practice makes perfect” as the experts say. Hopefully, I will do well!! I only have elective courses in my final year (at the master program), and in addition to the two mentioned above, I have “Persuasion and Influence” as well as the Master Thesis. Do you have any questions regarding courses or the thesis, do not hesitate to ask!
Have a fantastic week,
Pernille
