Hello!
My name is Jo Andreas Nordli, and I am 25 years old. I have just started at my last year in MSc Leadership and Organizational Psychology at BI Norwegian Business School, and I am starting to see daylight at the end of the educational tunnel.
I hold a Bachelor in Psychology from NTNU (http://www.ntnu.edu/) in Trondheim, and my specialization was in organizational psychology. During my Bachelor I went for exchange at Hawaii Pacific University (http://www.hpu.edu/), and lived a semester in Honolulu, which was a refreshing experience. Living abroad six months was a great way to expand my perspectives as well as a personal-development boost. Highly recommendable! BUT, this blog is not about me walking down memory lane, so back to business.
Currently I am also working part-time at Careers Service at BI, where my responsibilities is mainly within the field of social media and the likes of Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn. I enjoy working there, and I have learned a lot through my 8 months of employment. Besides studying and working, I like to activate myself with golf, football or running.
This blog will be about my journey from studies to work, and I will share my experiences related to this process. At Careers Service we have a job-search guide containing five steps where the first two concerns awareness and orientation.
I have spent a lot of time reflecting on where and what in regards to my entry into the business life, which in turn raise the question how. The next step for me is to apply for jobs, and it is time to write a lot of applications and to drop by Careers Service for feedback on my CV and application…
