At Monday we had the career planning seminar lecture, which I really enjoyed. It was informative and helpful, and it answered many of my questions. I planned on visiting Careers Service for a drop-in session before I started on my CV, but after this lecture I felt like there was no need. So for those of you who have not had your lecture yet– I really recommend you to go. Even if you feel you are in control of your process, I think you will benefit from going. Sometimes it is nice to get some confirmations.
In my last post I wrote that I do not know what my dream job is, but that I see myself in management consulting and HRM. However, after talking to a good friend of mine, I think I will rather explore what kind of opportunities there are within marketing, project management or events. I am still keeping all doors open, but for now I want to pursue another direction than I initially thought. My motivation is that my friend gave me some interesting insights about other career possibilities than I had thought of. And as I was working on my list of motivations, skills and experiences for my CV (which I have briefly started) I felt that this direction was more right for me. I may of course be wrong, but in this moment I am very confident in my choice.
