The BI Executive MBA specialisation in Energy offers a unique mix of general management and energy courses, which will allow you to gain an MBA degree while learning about energy issues.

The specialisation in Energy will allow you to:

  • Focus on global environmental issues and the development of existing and emerging renewable energy sources
  • Gain an in-depth understanding of fundamentals in energy management, energy technologies and industries, energy markets and trading and energy policy in major regions and countries

The programme’s objective is to educate and train managers specifically for the energy sector by providing them with state-of-the-art knowledge and insight into this rapidly changing industry.

While all the general management courses take place in BI campus in Oslo, energy related courses take place also in two additional venues:

  • Stavanger  - the oil capital of Norway. Several major international companies operate in the region, such as Statoil, BP, ExxonMobil, ConocoPhillips, Baker & Hughes, FMC Technologies, Schlumberger, Seawell, Halliburton or E.ON E&P.
  • IFP School in Paris. IFP Energies Nouvelles (IFP New Energies) is a world-class research and ­education centre, aimed at developing the technologies and materials of the future in the fields of energy, transport and the environment. The IFP School is an integral part of IFP Energies Nouvelles.

 

Who is the Specialization in Energy for?

The programme is intended for participants already familiar with the energy industry, as well as participants aspiring to work in the energy field. It is professionally oriented and designed to give participants a comprehensive understanding of key energy issues and improve their analytical and managerial skills.
