BI's ambition is to be a leading international business school.

BI's international ambitions are reflected in the school's teaching, research projects, collaboration with other academic institutions and recruitment of faculty. 

Through exchange, students gain international experience. BI facilitates exchange in all bachelor's and master's programmes. In 2024:

  • 372 BI students went on exchange, about the same as in 2023.
  • 685 students from 32 different countries and 109 universities chose to study at BI, a number comparable to last year.
  • 137 third-year students in the bachelor's programme International Management who took their final year abroad.

BI's ambitions as an international business school are also reflected in its teaching and international collaborations. Some of the highlights from 2024 were:

  • Collaboration with 240 international partner schools.
  • 15 full-time bachelor's programmes with the option of studying abroad.
  • 13 full-time master's programmes with the option of studying abroad.
  • 24 executive courses and programmes with the option of studying abroad.
  • 3 full-time bachelor programmes and 11 full-time master programmes taught in English.
  • 40 executive courses and programmes taught in English.
  • 181 students in our BI-Fudan MBA programme in China.

Having employees with an international background is a strength for BI, both in terms of teaching and research. In 2024:

  • 52 nationalities were represented among BI's employees.
  • 38% of faculty were international, while 7% of BI's administrative staff were international.
