Introduction
Using available data to gain insights and make correct decisions is becoming essential for almost any business in today's world. Spreadsheets are one of the most used tools for processing tabular data and gaining insights. In this course, we will focus on advanced use of Excel, including programming and automation.
Course content
Excel fundamentals
- Introduction to Excel and standard worksheet functions (from basic formulas to XLOOKUP)
- Working with ranges, tables, and structured references
- PivotTables and charting
Advanced Excel with LAMBDA
- User-defined functions using LAMBDA
- Variables and data structures in formula
- Handling errors, dynamic arrays, optional arguments, and other advanced topics.
- Using the advanced formula editor for creating reusable functions.
ExcelScript and automation
- Recording and executing Excel scripts
- Basics of TypeScript
- Control flow (conditional execution, loops)
- Functions and script structure
- Excel objects and the ExcelScript API
