BI in prestigious rankings

15 May 2017

BI has been ranked by the Financial Times (FT) as one of the world’s best Executive Education providers for 2017. The ranking lists the best business schools for Customised Programmes and Open Enrolment Programmes.

– The competition is very tough, and these results are crucial for BI´s brand and success in the international arena. We are pleased with a good position for our customised programmes, but not satisfied with the drop in the ranking for Open Enrolment Programmes, says president of BI Norwegian Business School, Inge Jan Henjesand.

The Financial Times Executive Education rankings 2017 consist of two separate rankings. On the ranking of the world's best Customised Programmes, BI achieves 57th place out of 85 ranked business schools, down from 56th place the year before. The rating places BI ahead of top universities such as Columbia Business School (61st), Cass Business School (60th) and Imperial College Business School (74th). BI receives high marks on the Customised Programmes criteria: 'follow-up', 'overseas programmes' and 'growth'. See the complete list here.

In the ranking of Open Enrolment Programmes, BI is rated as 72nd out of 75 schools that have been included on the list, down 14 places from 2016.

– The recognition by global rankings, such as Financial Times, enables us to attract top international faculty and connect with international companies. This year´s ranking results are additional proof of the increasing strength of our faculty base, our publication record in top international journals and the relevance of our research for business life, says Henjesand.
