What does 8th of March mean to you?

The 8th of March is a symbolic day for me. It’s a day where we are able to celebrate women, the fight for gender equality, and the historical changes women and men before us fought for. This is a day of a global celebration of the social, economic, and political achievements of women.

What do you think are the main global challenges we must solve to close the gender gap?

The main global challenges we must solve to close the gender gap are equal pay, equal rights, and equal opportunities for women and men. But the most important is access to quality education. Knowledge is power, and by educating girls and boys we are able to lower the barriers for gender gaps in the future.

Which woman has inspired you, and why?

There are several empowering women who have inspired me throughout the years, but my mom is my biggest inspiration. She is a strong, empowering, motivating, and inspiring woman.

What does 8th of March mean to you?

March 8 means equality for me. We shall not promote women as better than men, but stand up for the fact that we shall be treated equally. Of course, the focus will be on women's rights throughout the year, but it's great that we have an arena like March 8 to focus on that.

What do you think are the main global challenges we must solve to close the gender gap?

The main global challenges to solve is the culture. Culture and mindset between genders is so natural for a lot of people because of the past. It will take time to make this difference, but it will be worth it.

Which woman has inspired you, and why?

A woman who inspires me daily to improve big and small things that I work with, is the Swedish politican Ebba Busch. She took over as a leader for a small party, only to make success of it. She is both empowering and inspirational. She shows us that you can balance family life with a career and a social life.
