Executive Master of Management in Energy

Introduction

The Executive Master of Management in Energy (EMME) programme is designed for experienced professionals who seek leadership positions in the rapidly transforming energy ecosystem. The programme is an 18-month part time executive programme taught entirely in English, and is a joint offering given by BI Norwegian Business School and IFP School in Paris.

With its strong international profile, the programme brings together diverse perspectives through its global topics, faculty, and student cohort.

Structured for working professionals, the EMME Programme allows participants to pursue their studies while maintaining full-time employment, combining intensive on-campus sessions with interactive online learning between modules.

Course content

A graduate from EMME is expected to have a holistic understanding of the ongoing energy transition. A holistic understanding implies a multilevel appreciation of the supply and demand of energy, including triple bottom line assessments of value creation. A multilevel approach includes knowledge components at the firm level (corporate strategies and project governance), system level (rules and regulations, market making) and personal level (leadership). Triple bottom line considerations involve knowledge geared at improving fossil energy production, the transition from fossil sources to renewable energy, and the sustainable use of energy in high consumption settings.
