OIL - Ocean Industry Leadership

Introduction

The ocean industry is complex and characterized by volatile global security, innovative technology developments and unpredictable trade dynamics. Leaders must adapt to remain competitive and ensure stable operations. At the same time, the industry faces ambitious zero emissions and climate neutrality goals.
Digital transformation is key, with AI and cybersecurity becoming essential in optimizing operations and protecting vital data against emerging threats. This shift necessitates significant cultural and organizational changes, where fostering a culture of innovation and adaptability is crucial.
Additionally, the industry must adapt to evolving business and financing models. Innovative financing, including green bonds and sustainability-linked loans, are pivotal in supporting projects that align with environmental directives and enhance long-term sustainability.
The course has been co-created by BI and Ocean Industry Forum Oslofjord, including the industry partners DNB, Wilhelmsen and Kongsberg Maritime. During the course a new set of leaders will be equipped to navigate these multifaceted challenges, and drive their organizations towards a sustainable and technologically advanced future.
