Introduction
This course is designed to equip MBA students with the knowledge and analytical skills to identify, evaluate, and create new insights on emerging business opportunities in Asia. It focuses on understanding the unique dynamics of Asian markets, evolving economic trends, technological advancements, cultural nuances, and regional challenges. According to the International Monetary Fund (IMF) forecast in November 2024, , Asia is expected to grow at 4.4 per cent in 2025 despite the risks to Asia's economy have increased from escalating trade tensions Why did Asia still emerge stronger economically? What insights can we learn from Asia?
Course content
This course aims to expose students to emerging windows of opportunity in Asia. The lessons are taught by faculty members from Nanyang Business School (NBS), our partner university in Singapore. The visit to NBS and Singapore allows the students to have a glimpse of the Lion City (Singapore) with various significant achievements internationally from being the leading financial center in the Asia-Pacific, the World’s most awarded airline (Singapore airline), a leading country of choice for business internationally, to be the business hub that opens up many windows of business opportunities in Asia.
To achieve the learning outcomes, the proposed lessons (but are not limited to) and field visits are customized with insights from an Asia perspective and value-add to the comprehensive EMBA program.
