Sirkulære forretningsmodeller og bærekraftige verdikjeder

Dette lederprogrammet gir deg og din bedrift verktøy og metoder, samt innsikt og inspirasjon fra ledende europeiske miljøer innen sirkulærøkonomi for å skape bærekraftige og konkurransedyktige selskaper.

Hvordan gå fra enkeltstående initiativ til bærekraftige strukturelle endringer ved hjelp av sirkulærøkonomi?

Sirkulære forretningsmodeller gir store miljøgevinster og er essensielt dersom vi skal nå FNs bærekraftsmål. Et sirkulært skifte gir også konkurransefortrinn for egen virksomhet gjennom å utvikle og markedsføre produkter og tjenester på nye måter.

Handelshøyskolen BI, RENAS og Circular Norway har inngått et samarbeid med noen av de fremste europeiske ekspertmiljøene innen sirkulærøkonomi; World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD) og SYSTEMIQ, for å utvikle og gjennomføre et program innen sirkulærøkonomi.

Programmet fokuserer på grensesnittet mellom ny teknologi, digitalisering, nye markeder og sirkulære materialstrømmer hvor det ligger enorme muligheter for økt verdiskapning.

Videre fokuserer programmet på de norske og ledende internasjonale trendene i virksomheter som har gjort sirkulære forretningsmodeller til et konkurransefortrinn for egen virksomhet.
Deltagerne får lære å kritisk vurdere økonomiske konsekvenser ved sirkulære produkter og tjenester, samt etiske sider ved grønnere forretningsdrift.

Hvem kan delta?

Dette er et praktisk kurs for næringslivsledere, hvor man på tvers av industrier og fagområder vil jobbe med case-oppgaver for å utvikle bærekraftige og sirkulære forretningsstrategier.

Programmet passer deg som søker kunnskap og praktiske ferdigheter knyttet til sirkulær økonomi, forretningsmodell-innovasjon og gjennomføring av større omstillingsprosjekter. De som jobber med strategisk kommunikasjon, posisjonering og markedskommunikasjon i privat og offentlig sektor vil også ha stort utbytte av dette kurset.

Sirkulærøkonomi

Læringsmål

Under programmet skal deltakerne alene eller i grupper på inntil tre personer utarbeide et forslag til Business case. Caset skal omhandle et prosjekt som beskriver en utvikling i retning av mer sirkulærøkonomi fra typisk lineær økonomi.

Business caset skal inneholde en anbefalt løsning (nytt eller nye tiltak, eventuelt en ny forretningsmodell) som vil kunne bidra til å løse den beskrevne utfordringen. Business caset skal i tillegg inneholde en økonomisk analyse som angir forventet økonomisk effekt av den skisserte løsningen. 

Kurset beskriver norske og ledende internasjonale trender i virksomheter som har gjort sirkulære forretningsmodeller til et konkurransefortrinn for egen virksomhet gjennom å utvikle og markedsføre produkter og tjenester på nye måter.

Vi samarbeider med de beste hodene innen sirkulærøkonomi for å utvikle og gjennomføre et topplederprogram som skal gi norske ledere innsikt og kunnskap om mulighetene sirkulære forretningsmodeller og bærekraftige verdikjeder skaper for ulike bransjer og industrier.

Brendon Edgerton

Brendan is the Director of Circular Economy at the World Business Council for Sustainable Development, a global, CEO-led organization of over 200 companies working together to accelerate the transition to a sustainable world. Since joining WBCSD in Geneva in 2015, Brendan has contributed to over 10 publications on the circular economy. This list includes the “CEO Guide”, “8 Business Cases” and the “Practitioner’s Guide to the Circular Economy”.

Brendan most recently co-developed and launched Factor10, WBCSD’s circular economy program. Factor10 now has almost 40 members, spanning across 15 industries, 17 countries and responsible for over USD $2 trillion in annual turnover.
Brendan also contributed to the establishment of the Alliance to End Plastic Waste. In support of WBCSD, the founding strategic partner of the Alliance, Brendan co-represented WBCSD throughout the Alliance’s development and launch in January 2019.

Prior to joining WBCSD, Brendan worked in both green building and corporate sustainability. As a LEED Accredited Professional with a boutique consulting firm (Green Dinosaur) in Los Angeles, Brendan managed the certification process of over 15 projects. While in graduate school, Brendan worked at both Office Depot and Walt Disney Imagineering in their respective corporate sustainability teams. In these functions he identified potential energy efficiency and renewable energy investments, conducted LCAs and life cycle cost assessments, among other activities.
Brendan has an MBA from the Yale School of Management, a Master of Environmental Management from the Yale School of Forestry & Environmental Studies and a bachelor’s in Ecological Design from the University of California Santa Cruz.

Prof. Dr. Martin Stuchtey

Martin Stuchtey is the co-founder and managing partner of SYSTEMIQ, an organisation driving system change in clean energy, circular material solutions and sustainable land use. By addressing market failures in these areas, SYSTEMIQ aims to unlock economic opportunities that benefit business, society and the environment. 

Prior to founding SYSTEMIQ, Martin worked at McKinsey for 20 years, most recently as Director of the Center for Business and Environment. In 2006, Martin Stuchtey co-founded McKinsey's Sustainability Practice, working with numerous corporate, government and social sector clients on the challenges of climate change, water scarcity, ocean degradation and resource depletion.

Over the last ten years, Martin has been leading many efforts to accelerate the transition towards circular industrial systems. Together with Dame Ellen MacArthur, he initiated the Circular Economy Initiative at the World Economic Forum and has provided expertise to numerous reports, articles, books and television broadcasts on the circular economy in general and a new plastic economy in particular.

He initiated the 2030 Water Resources Group and has been a long-time strategic advisor to the World Economic Forum. He is the author of the book “A Good Disruption – Redefining Growth in the Twenty-first Century.”

Martin Stuchtey served as a company commander in the German Alpine forces and worked as geologist in Southern Africa. He holds a BSc. Hons.-degree in economic geology/mineralogy from Rhodes University (South Africa), a master’s degree in business economics from WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management (Germany), an MBA from Lancaster University (UK), and a PhD in regional economics from the Technical University of Dresden.

He is a professor for Resource Strategy and Management at Innsbruck University. He is married and has six children, he lives at Lake Starnberg in Germany and on his organic farm in Kollreid, Tirol.

 

 

Espen Skaldehaug

Espen Skaldehaug has since 1994 developed and been academically responsible for numerous programmes and courses at BI Norwegian Business School.
In addition to several internal lecture awards at BI, Espen was awarded the prize "Course leader of the Year 2012” by Confex, Scandinavia's largest organizer of courses and conferences, and “Course leader of the year” by “The Norwegian Communications Association” in 2013.

Espen lectures mostly in Norway, but is currently also involved in Business Development training for companies in Beijing (China).

Espen Skaldehaug is first and foremost a knowledge communicator. He is the founder and responsible for the Executive programme “Financial management and investment analysis”, a program that has been running for more than 25 years. He is also the co-founder of two Executive Short Programmes (Lean management, Business economics for managers), as well as two Master of Management Programmes (Corporate Business Analytics, Corporate Business for Decision makers).

Through his position as a highly rated and experienced teacher, he has for a number of years developed more than 100 corporate training programmes in collaboration with several of Norway's largest companies, such as Coop SA (Norway's second largest grocer) and Nortura SA (Norway's largest egg and meat producer).

The collaboration programme between BI and Nortura, "Development for increased competitiveness" was in 2017 voted by the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD) as he fourth best programme of its class in the world. The programme was described as a highly effective collaboration in management and development.
Even more impressive and in monetary values, the program was estimated to have generated more than NOK 300 million for the company, and the director referred to the program as one of the better investments the company has ever made.

Espen is a lecturer and supervisor on a large variety of topics related to business economics and business management. His professional areas of interest are among others:

Per Espen Stoknes

Per Espen Stoknes is a certified psychologist with a degree in philosophy and a PhD in Economic theory, and co-director at the BI Center for Green Growth at BI Norwegian Business School. Per Espen is the author of 5 books, the latest winning the “Outstanding Academic Title” award in 2015 from the American Library Association.

Per Espen lectures widely both in Norway and in the USA, particularly on Green Growth and Climate communications. His keynotes regularly reaches audiences of >1000 per year.

From 2017 to 2021 he is a member of the Norwegian Parliament (deputy), with a fulltime position from November 2017 to July 2018 for the Green Party.

One of his strengths is his interdisciplinary, team-focused entrepreneurial vision with a heart for ecology and nature.
He is the co-founder of more than 3 innovative companies (3 in green tech, & 1 in foresight consulting) and of 3 Master of Management Programmes (Scenarios, Green Growth, Teams)

Stoknes is a highly rated teacher, international consultant, facilitator and keynote presenter in addition to an experienced interdisciplinary research project leader and manager.

He has been a long-serving consultant to multinational corporations, government ministries & Agencies, including the EU Commission’s Horzion Europe’s Mission Board on Climate Change and Societal adaptation.

Per Espen has arranged and hosted the popular annual “BI Green Economics” (spring) and “BI Climate Communication seminars” (autumns) 2012-2015/2016.

He has since 1999 developed, led and been academically responsible for three Master of Management Programmes at BI Norwegian Business School - Executive education:

Programmet gjennomføres over en periode på 8 måneder, med en kombinasjon av 2 samlinger med 3 dager i Oslo og 4 dager i Genève. Det holdes digitale moduler mellom samlingene, samt faglig diskusjon rundt bedriftsrelevante spørsmål. Det vil være tydelige broer mellom fysiske samlinger, nettsamlinger og gruppearbeid slik at aktivitetene overlapper og bygger på hverandre, og leder frem til konkrete prosjektforslag til deltagernes bedrifter.
