Arianna Campagnoli

I am Arianna Campagnoli, a PhD candidate in the Department of Data Science and Analytics at BI Norwegian Business School and SURE-AI. I recently graduated with a Master’s degree in Data Analytics for Economics and Management from the Free University of Bolzano, following a Bachelor’s degree in Business Economics at LIUC University and a Double Degree at IÉSEG School of Management in Lille, France. During these years of studies, I developed a strong curiosity towards quantitative methods and their application to economic and financial problems. My interest lies on this intersection of machine learning, statistics, and economics with the aim of understanding and forecasting complex systems. In particular, my work focuses on the analysis of neural networks and probabilistic forecasting, as well as agent-based game theory exploring ways to combine statistical and machine learning methods to improve predictive performance. As a PhD candidate, I am following these research interests within the energy sector under the supervision of Professor Fred Espen Benth and Professor Francesco Ravazzolo.
