Housing application and guarantee – Oslo

BI cooperates with several housing providers offering student accommodation in Oslo. Your choice of room depends on your preferences and availability with the housing providers. You may be able to stay for the duration of your studies by renewing your contract each year, subject to your provider's terms and conditions.

The application process, deadlines and fee described in this section apply to BI Campus Oslo. For housing information for Campus Bergen or Campus Trondheim, please see the corresponding campus section under Housing Options below.

To qualify for BI's housing guarantee in Oslo, international students must apply through the Pre-Application for Housing before 1 May for studies starting in August (autumn semester), or 1 October for studies starting in January (spring semester).

The guarantee applies only to new international students arriving in Norway for the first time. A pre-application fee of NOK 1,500 is required. The fee is non-refundable except if your admission application or study permit application is rejected.

After completing the pre-application, you will receive an email from BI with further instructions. Follow these carefully and apply directly to your chosen housing provider no later than 1 May for the autumn semester or 1 October for the spring semester.
