BI International Case Competition 2026

12 prestigious schools worldwide will be invited to Oslo to compete in BIICC 2026. Your school could be one of them! Express interest by filling in our online form before 1 July!

Practical information

Accommodation

BI will make hotel reservations for all teams and advisors during BIICC 2026 (6-13 February) at a hotel located close to BI’s campus in Oslo. Additional nights at the hotel must be booked and covered by the participants/schools.  

Business hours

Shops and supermarkets normally open between 8am and 10am. Most of the stores are open until 9pm, with some open until 11pm. Most banks are open between 9am – 3pm. On weekends, stores have limited opening hours. They are normally open for business between 10am – 7pm on Saturdays. On Sundays most shops are closed.

Currency

The official currency in Norway is the Norwegian Krone (NOK). Norges Bank lists the exchange rate of some 40 different currencies.

ATMs are available within walking distance in all parts of Oslo. Most Norwegians use debit/credit cards for their daily transactions, and all of the major credit card services are widely accepted. 

Departure

Teams are free to leave Oslo any time Friday 13 February, but please note that the check-out time at the hotel is 12.00 noon. The nearest airport express train stop is Oslo S. Please contact the reception for departure times and directions. 

Electricity

Norway uses the Europlug (Type C & F), which has two round pins. Norway operates on a 230V supply voltage and 50Hz. Please check which socket adapter/transformer you need to safely use your electrical devices in Norway.

Maps

We recommend you use a map application, e.g. Google Maps, to navigate your way around Oslo. To find your way around BI’s campus, we advise you to use MazeMap, an interactive map of the school. 

Time zone

Norway and Oslo are in the Central European time zone region - GMT +1. 

Weather

In February 2025, the lowest temperature registered in was -8 degrees Celsius.

Make sure you bring warm clothes, as it will make your stay more comfortable. In addition, the chance of snow is high, so good footwear is crucial to stay dry and warm.
