This talk will focus on research conducted on the topic of organisational justice in the project context. Organisational justice is an established construct in the context of permanent organisations and relates to perceptions of fairness in the working environment. However, justice judgements are context specific and whilst prior research has shown the positive impact of fair treatment on organisations and employees, less is known about organisational justice in projects and the impacts of fair or unfair treatment of project team members. Through a diary methods study, we investigated how organisational justice is perceived in the project context, the factors influencing project team members' justice judgements and the impact of in-/justice on individuals, projects and organisations. The talk will also discuss in detail the diary method which was employed for this study.
