“This is a recognition of the quality of our PhD programme and the dedication of the academic and administrative staff involved in the PhD portfolio,” says Ingunn Myrtveit, BI’s Provost for Research.
After being welcomed into the CDE, BI’s academic staff will now have access to thematic workshops and peer groups, as well as annual meetings and online doctoral debates.
Recent focus areas of the CDE have been supervision of doctoral candidates and transversal skills training, as well as career development and tracking. They have also worked on topics such as research integrity and assessment, careers of postdoctoral researchers, internationalization of doctoral education, Open Science, digital transformation, in addition to looking at the mental health and wellbeing of doctoral candidates.
