For Anand Alex Pattara, his years at BI have been closely connected to an active and welcoming campus community.

“It feels great and rewarding to get this recognition. I am very thankful to BI, the teachers, and my fellow students for a supportive and inspiring learning environment,” he says.

Anand points out steady effort, active participation in classes and group work, and linking theory to practical problems as important factors for doing well. He spent a lot of time on campus and describes the learning environment as lively, with good facilities that helped both focus and well-being.

Collaboration and academic depth

Marius August Skaarseth describes receiving the award as a significant recognition, particularly at a Triple Crown-accredited business school like BI.

“It is first and foremost a great honor, and I am both proud and grateful. At the same time, I know there is a lot of hard work behind this result, both my own and the efforts of many talented students I’ve worked with.”

He emphasizes the importance of academic discussions and group work in achieving a deep understanding of the material rather than relying on memorization, and encourages other students to seek out engaged peers with similar goals.

“A good study environment makes learning both more effective and far more inspiring and motivating.”

Marius has studied at BI for five years, including an exchange semester in Singapore. He characterizes his time as demanding yet highly rewarding, with skilled professors and students, relevant subjects, and excellent opportunities for both academic and personal development.

Ready for the future

Both are positive about the future and the opportunities ahead. Anand plans to do a PhD, aiming to contribute to new research and knowledge development.

Marius has already started working as a Management Consultant at Capgemini Invent, where he works with strategy and M&A.
