The Education Committee

BI’s Board of Trustees has delegated the governing of BI’s program portfolio to the Education Committee.

This includes enhancement of academic quality, admission quality and curriculum relevance in alignment with the strategy, and the approval of regulations and policies needed for this matter.

The Education Committee is chaired by the Provost Education and consists of ten vote eligibles members and five members with the right to speak.

The vote eligibles must be:

  • The Provost Education (Chair)
  • The Provost Academic Resources (Deputy chair)
  • Two Deans appointed for two years by the Provost Education, of whom one must be from full-time programs
  • One Head of Department appointed for two years by the Provost Academic Resources
  • Two elected members of faculty
  • Director Program Quality
  • Two Student representatives chosen by BISO 

The members with the right to speak must be:

  • Two Deans appointed for two years by the Provost Education
  • Director Learning Center
  • Director Central Academic Department Administration
  • EVP Business 

The deputies must be:

  • The deputy for the Provost Education is the Provost Academic Resources
  • Dean Bachelor and Dean MSc are deputies for each other
  • Dean Executive and Dean PhD are deputies for each other
  • The Provost Academic Resources appoints deputy for Head of Department
  • Other functional roles appoint their own deputy

Election to the Appointment Committee

BI will conduct elections for the Education Committee in January and February. The election results will be announced on 11 February 2026 and published on BI’s website shortly thereafter.
