Quantitative Methods for Finance

Introduction

Please note that this is a preliminary course description. The final version will be published in June 2026.

This course lays the foundations for the understanding of quantitative methods most commonly used in finance worldwide. These include calculus, linear algebra, optimization, statistics, probability theory, hypothesis testing, and regression analysis. This course also introduces R programming, an essential programming language that will be used in the rest of the programme.

Part II: Fundamentals of statistics
