The significance of geopolitical and geo-economic risks is rising, both for business and governments. Politics and markets are increasingly shaped by international rivalry, technology and societal disruptions. In this era of economic statecraft, many countries leverage trade, investment, and supply chains as strategic tools. Decision-makers, businesses, and governments face a strategic environment and new forms of uncertainty.
BI GEORISK is committed to enhancing our comprehension of the changing interplay between politics, security, business, and the economy. We pay particular attention to the Nordic context:
- How is the evolving risk landscape reshaping the dynamics between politics, markets, and security on national, regional, and global levels?
- How can business and investors navigate and adapt to this new environment, while mitigating risks, reducing vulnerabilities, and capitalizing on opportunities?
- What can governments and business do to bolster societal resilience and robustness?
BI GEORISK takes a cross-disciplinary approach, drawing on expertise from law, political science, economics, business strategy, and history. We work closely with partners in both the private and public sectors.
