"The BI Career Portal helped me get my first internship at Yara. Two years later, I work there full time. The experience helped me excel in the interview and case study."

Norwegian language courses: BI offers Norwegian language courses for international students who want to learn the language alongside their studies. Although some companies in Norway operate in English—particularly those with an international focus—knowing Norwegian can expand your job opportunities, especially in roles that involve local clients or long-term employment. It also helps you better understand Norwegian culture and workplace expectations, giving you a clear advantage when entering the job market.

Networking opportunities: BI facilitates connections between students and industry through:

  • Career fairs with local and international companies
  • Themed networking events focused on sectors such as tech, finance, or sustainability
  • Guest lectures and business cases delivered by industry professionals
  • Alumni meetups and career talks

Building a professional network takes time, and it starts during your studies. For students who are interested and take initiative, BI offers a setting where it’s possible to meet professionals, learn from industry, and start building relevant connections. The more time and effort you invest, the more you’re likely to gain.
