What can I do with my degree?
Consultant at PwC
Polina shares how the BBA programme gave her a solid foundation for the responsibilities she handles at PwC today.
Bachelor in Business Administration

- What do you enjoy most about your job?
First and foremost, it’s the people. You meet brilliant colleagues with diverse expertise and backgrounds, all collaborating to create maximum value while helping you grow. On top of that, you get to work on an endless array of projects, learning new things almost every day and becoming something of an “expert” across different fields, all of which keeps the work exciting and rewarding.
- How would you describe your role when it comes to responsibility, independence, and flexibility?
Although senior team members hold overall delivery responsibility, you’re quickly empowered to create and deliver value on your own, whether for the project, PwC internally, or even society. From day one you’re viewed as independent and trusted to manage your tasks and schedule, with the freedom to decide how much responsibility to take on. Guidance is always available, yet you enjoy the flexibility to work when and where it suits you, as long as deadlines are met.
- You’ve mentioned that you apply things you learned at BI in your current role – can you share a specific example?
The BBA program and my extracurriculars prepared me well. I regularly apply theory and frameworks, like balancing local responsiveness versus global standardisation, and leverage skills in cross-cultural collaboration, presentation, and public speaking. For instance, I’m on an international project spanning three countries with all deliverables in English. My BI background helps me navigate cultural complexities both theoretically and practically, enabling me to collaborate efficiently, add value, and execute tasks with confidence.
