Kurt has been a practicing lawyer for over 20 years, primarily with the Confederation of Norwegian Employers ("NHO" - an assosiation of employers).Kurt has extensive litigation experience within individual and collective labour law, as well as public procurement. He has litigated over 100 cases before the courts, including 10 cases before the Norwegian Supreme Court, 23 cases before the Norwegian Labor Court and one case before the EFTA Court. In 2012, he received the right to appear before the Supreme Court and has a doctorate (PhD) from UiO from 2016 on a thesis on the use of boycotts as a tool in collective labor law ("Boikott i arbeidskampsammenheng" - in Norwegian only). Kurt was promoted to Professor in 2026.
