Disinformation spreads rapidly through digital platforms, eroding trust in institutions, experts, and media. False narratives can manipulate public opinion, polarize communities, and influence elections or policy debates. What is the psychology behind disinformation and its impacts? How do we tackle dwindling trust in facts and research evidence? How do we recognize patterns in disinformation and how can we counter such narratives with credible facts; also and especially with younger audiences?

BI Norwegian Business School, EACD, Kommunikasjonsforeningen and NORA welcome you to an engaging breakfast seminar during Forskningsdagene. Doors open and light breakfast will be served from 08:30. Researchers and practitioners will present and discuss recent trends in trust, disinformation, and science communication.

We welcome Professor Jonas Kunst from BI, Thomas Evensen from Research Council of Norway, Communication director Anne Steenstrup Duch from Sintef Energy and Communication director Svein Inge Leirgulen from Tekna. The panel discussion will be facilitated by Cathrine Torp, communication and strategy director at The Norwegian Institute of Public Accountants.
