“From Tools to Transformation: Rethinking the Communication Function Through CommTech and AI“
Alexander has held teaching and research fellowships at, among others, the University of Southern California and Stanford University. His research is situated at the intersection of communication, digital technology, and management. His current work focuses on digitalization and automation in communication and their implications for management as well as for public and corporate governance. Alexander serves on the core research team of the European Communication Monitor (ECM, the largest transnational study on strategic communication worldwide), is a member of the advisory board of the International Association for the Measurement and Evaluation of Communication (AMEC), and a member of the expert panel on artificial intelligence at the Royal Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR).
As a member of the senior leadership team she works closely with public service broadcasters across 56 countries and champions the values, interests and sustainable future of public service media in Europe and beyond. Michelle also leads the EBU’s marketing, communications and events strategy, strengthening the organisation’s visibility, engagement and impact. Before joining the EBU, Michelle held senior positions in two global public affairs and communications agencies in Brussels and Geneva. She brings extensive experience in EU policy and advocacy, having also worked for some of the most influential Brussels-based industry associations and interest groups.
With an extensive background in journalism and strategic communication, she has previously served as NRK’s Head of Media Relations, Head of Communications for the United Nations Association of Norway and worked as a political reporter for NRK and TV 2. Ellen holds an MSc in Business Administration from BI Norwegian Business School and a double bachelor’s degree in Journalism and International Relations from Northwestern University in the United States. She is an expert in crisis communication and media training.
With extensive experience in the IT industry since 1997, Kristine previously held senior leadership positions at VMware, including EMEA Vice President for Digital Workspace, in addition to leadership roles at ATEA, VM-Data and Cinet. Her expertise includes IT management, strategic planning, leadership and organizational change.
DNV is an independent assurance and risk management provider, operating in more than 100 countries, with the purpose of safeguarding life, property, and the environment. Ulrike has more than 20 years extensive Communications, Marketing, Sustainability and Business Development experience within international corporations with positions in Norway, London, Germany and Italy. She has worked in the maritime, energy and legal sectors and holds a German law degree and MBA (London). Ulrike holds board memberships at the German-Norwegian Chamber of Commerce and as Chair of DNV’s Industrial Services business.
He brings extensive experience in aligning business strategy, marketing, and communication, gained through years in IT and management consulting. Before joining Scompler, he spent over a decade as a board member at a large IT service provider, where he transformed the organisation’s international marketing and communications teams into a strategy-driven newsroom.
