Abstract:
Sara Malacarne is a Senior Research Scientist in AI at Telenor Research and Innovation and holds a PhD in Mathematics from the University of Oslo. She specializes in developing new, mathematically grounded machine-learning methods for time-series and longitudinal data. Her work bridges advanced theoretical development with practical applications to complex, high-dimensional real-world data. Drawing from a strong foundational background in operator algebras, noncommutative probability, and quantum groups, she brings a uniquely rigorous perspective to modern AI challenges. Her current research focuses on reservoir computing, representation and generative learning, graph-based methods, and anomaly detection.
