Political engagement and campaigning at BI Norwegian Business School

BI Norwegian Business School wishes to facilitate political engagement and exchange of views on our campuses.

As a politically neutral educational institution, BI are committed to ensuring a diversity of voices, while also safeguarding students’ need for a predictable and safe study environment.

If your political party or organisation wishes to set up a stall or conduct activities on campus, you must obtain an approved permit, which must be kept on hand during the event.

Guidelines

  • BI prioritises events and stalls where multiple parties are represented simultaneously. This ensures students are exposed to a broad spectrum of political views.
  • To ensure political breadth, BI will invite other parties to participate when a request is received. Applications must therefore be submitted no later than 14 days prior to the desired date to allow time for this coordination.
  • Activities must be conducted in such a way that they do not obstruct movement or disrupt teaching, library areas, or employees’ working environment.
  • BI reserves the right to request that activities be stopped if the guidelines are not complied with, or in the event of unforeseen needs in the study environment.

Party-political student societies must coordinate directly through the student organisation BISO at contact@biso.no.
