BI launches master’s programme in Trondheim
30 October 2026The master’s programme in Leadership and Organisational Psychology has long been one of BI’s most popular programmes. Now, it will become the first master’s degree offered at BI in Trondheim.
“This is an important milestone for BI’s ambitions and commitment to Trondheim. With the launch of the Master’s programme in Leadership and Organisational Psychology, students will for the first time be able to complete a full master’s degree at Brattøra. The programme provides students with relevant skills for the future of work, as well as the tools to analyse and address challenges at the individual, team and organisational levels,” says Marius Eriksen, Executive Vice President Business at BI Norwegian Business School.
The launch comes at a time when technology is rapidly changing the world of work.
“As artificial intelligence becomes increasingly integrated into our working lives, understanding people is more important than ever. We need leaders who understand the changing relationship between technology, people and organisations,” says Eriksen.

Skills in high demand
Graduates from the programme often go on to work in roles such as organisational development specialists, consultants, HR managers and change management advisers.
The programme is primarily designed for students with a Bachelor of Organisational Psychology, HR and Leadership but is also open to applicants with relevant bachelor’s degrees from other higher education institutions.
“BI is known for its close collaboration with the business community. Students on this programme will have the opportunity to work on real-world challenges from industry. The skills they develop are in high demand,” says Asgeir Opland, Director of BI’s Trondheim campus.
Starting in autumn 2027
Applications for the programme open on 1 November 2026, with the first students starting in autumn 2027.
