Are you getting ready to apply but not sure where or how to start? Here is a step-by-step guide on completing an application with information about requirements, scholarships and more. You will also find frequently asked questions on this page.
The application process starts on the page of the programme or course you wish to apply to. When clicking "Apply now", you will be asked to log in, fill in some information about yourself and upload the necessary documentation. Under "My applications" you can keep up-to-date on the status of your applications at all times.
For our full-time programmes the application portal opens 1 November.
Have you applied before or started an application?
Have you started an application and registered your email address or are you already a BI student? You can log in to check the status or complete the application.
BI Norwegian Business School is a private institution and the admissions process is not handled by Samordna opptak (Norwegian Universities and Colleges Admissions Service). You can therefore apply for admission to our full-time programmes after the priority deadlines outlined below.
International applicants with citizenship from outside the EU/EEA must apply by 15 June.
BI offers rolling admission thereafter, based on availability. The application web for BI’s Master of Science programmes closes 1 August.
If you apply for admission to one of our part-time programmes, there will be continuous admissions until the respective course or programme starts.
The processing time for admission to BI Norwegian Business School will vary according to the time of year, the course or programme in question and the educational background of the applicant. Read more on application processing times
Employers or other external parties may need confirmation that a diploma or a transcript of grades from BI Norwegian Business School is authentic. Read more on the verification of diplomas
You can withdraw from a programme or course both before and after you have started. You have a right of cancellation for 14 days from the date you signed the study contract in accordance with the (Norwegian) Consumer Purchases Cancellation Act. Read more on the withdrawal process
Your application can be waitlisted by BI Norwegian Business School. The reason could be limited capacity or that your application needs more time to be evaluated. Your application will be processed and we will contact you if necessary. Read more on application processing and the use of waiting lists.
