Introduction
Web3 is a broad term for an architectural vision in which ownership, identity, and value transfer are embedded directly into digital infrastructure. This is realized through technologies such as blockchains, DLT, cryptographic identity, and smart contracts. The course provides a precise introduction to how these technologies actually work, with particular emphasis on blockchain technology and Bitcoin, and how they shape organization, governance, and value creation. At the same time, the course addresses key limitations and challenges, including technical complexity, resource use, regulation, and practical applicability.
