Accommodation
BI collaborates with two housing providers for Summer School students: BSN Dormitory and SiO Student Housing. Options and pricing for Summer 2026 will be finalized and communicated by Spring 2026.
We highly recommend international students choose either BSN or SiO, as private accommodation in Oslo is generally more expensive.
BSN Dormitory
BSN offers modern, comfortable accommodations exclusively for BI students. All rooms are fully furnished, including bed linen, and kitchens are stocked with basic essentials.
- Apartment type: Summer Programme students typically stay in two-bedroom apartments, with a private bedroom and a shared kitchen and bathroom with one other student.
- Housing fees (2026): NOK 8,250 for the period 19 June - 17 July 2026.
Facilities at BSN include:
- Washing and drying machines
- Internet access
- Basic kitchenware: knives, cutlery, plates, glasses, pots, and pans are usually left by former residents. Missing items can be purchased affordably in Oslo.
- Rooftop terrace: Offers panoramic views of Oslo, including the Oslofjord, Nesodden, Bunnefjorden, Oslo Plaza, Holmenkollen, and more.
- Squash hall: Open daily from 07:00 - 23:00.
- Gym: Open daily from 07:00 - 23:00.
For more information, visit BSN’s website.
SiO Student Housing
SiO Student Housing is the largest student housing provider in Oslo. Summer Programme students will typically stay at Sogn Student Village, in four- or seven-bedroom apartments. Each student has a private bedroom while sharing the kitchen and bathroom with other residents.
Sogn Student Village is the oldest, and perhaps the most cozy, student village in Oslo. It offers safe and quiet surroundings, with close proximity to both the forest and the city, as well as training facilities and local shops.
Housing fees at SiO for 2026: NOK 8,250 for the period 19 June - 17 July 2026.
All rooms are furnished and equipped, including a pillow, a duvet and bed linen. However, students must bring their own towels. Kitchens are equipped with basic essentials.
Facilities at SiO include:
- Washing and drying machines
- Internet access
- Basic kitchenware (knives, cutlery, plates, glasses, pots, and frying pans). If anything is missing, kitchen items can be purchased at relatively low cost in Oslo.
- Gym: SiO operates several gyms called Athletica throughout Oslo. One Athletica gym is located on BI’s Oslo campus, and students may access it upon request. If you are staying at SiO housing, please contact the Summer School team for assistance.
Applying for housing
Shortly after admission, students will receive a newsletter containing a link to tuition (if applicable) and housing payment form.
To secure accommodation for the Summer School, students must complete the payment. The deadline for both tuition (if applicable) and housing fees is 15 May 2026.
Please note that cancellations are subject to a 25% fee. After 1 June 2026, fees are non-refundable.
Securing accommodation early is recommended to ensure a smooth start to the Summer Programme.
