    The first pan-Nordic study of the communication field

    Get the current state and overview of the PR and communications field in the Nordic countries.

    For this report, the Nordic Alliance for Communication and Management (#NORA) has collaborated with national communication associations in Norway, Denmark, Finland and Sweden as well as with the European Communication Monitor series to publish the first ever pan-Nordic study of the communication field. The respondents of the survey work in communication agencies and in communication departments in joint stock companies, private companies, government-owned organisations, public sector organizations, political organisations, as well as non-profit organisations and associations.

  • In the face of the current pandemic and other global challenges, such as the climate crisis, #NORA proudly endorses the International declaration of communications professionals and researchers for a healthier, viable, better world.

  • #NORA extends its support of early and mid-career researchers with a new workshop hosted at the Annual Congress of the European Public Relations Education and Research Association (EUPRERA).

  • In light of the importance of communications during the COVID-19 pandemic, international professional and academic associations of Public Relations and Communicators now seek to refocus the effort to achieve effective communication.

    New Nordic research collaboration

    The European Communication Monitor (ECM) is the largest survey in communication management and public relations worldwide. This year there will be a separate study about communications in the Nordic countries. The Nordic alliance for Communication and Management (#NORA) and the national communication associations in Norway, Finland, Denmark, and Sweden are collaborating on a joint research project.
