BI wins Best Digital Transformation Award in London
30 January 2026BI reached the very top at the AMBA Excellence Awards in London, winning the award for Best Digital Transformation.

Presented by the Association of MBAs (AMBA) and the Business Graduates Association (BGA), the award recognises business schools that have implemented innovative technological changes with measurable success.
The award is granted to BI for the strategic transformation of its Executive MBA (EMBA) programme. By transitioning to a synchronous blended model, BI has managed to combine the best of both worlds: intensive face-to-face modules and synchronous digital teaching. This move has solved a major challenge in the Norwegian market by reducing travel burdens and time away from work and family.
The results:
- Increased inclusivity: The proportion of students living outside the Greater Oslo area has increased from 19% to 45%.
- International growth: The proportion of non-Norwegian participants has risen from 33% to 39%.
- Higher satisfaction: Students report better learning momentum and a significantly improved work-life balance.
“This is the result of extensive teamwork across academic faculty and administration who have been instrumental in driving this project to completion,” says Dean Executive Lars Olsen.
BI Executive MBA placed 55th among European programmes in 2025.
