Digital Marketing Management

Digital marketing is constantly evolving as new technologies emerge, and platforms change. This course helps you stay ahead by developing strategic insight and practical skills to build lasting customer relationships.

This course is for anyone looking to strengthen their understanding of digital marketing to more strategically reach and retain customers. You will explore the core principles that remain essential despite shifting trends, work with key frameworks, and gain hands-on experience with digital tools that drive measurable results.

By combining theory with practice, you will learn to interpret data, communicate insights, and make informed marketing decisions that create value for both customers and organizations. The course emphasizes long-term thinking and adaptability, helping you stay confident and effective as new technologies emerge.

When the course is completed, you will be equipped with both strategic insight and practical skills to plan, execute, and evaluate digital marketing activities—and a mindset of continuous learning to evolve alongside the digital landscape.

Who can take the course?

Admission requirements: To enroll in a bachelor’s program, you generally need to have a higher education entrance qualification. If you do not have this, you can still apply based on experience-based qualification if you are 25 years or older in the year of admission.

Take the course or build a degree

This course provides valuable knowledge, but it also offers formal qualifications. The course is worth 7.5 ECTS credits, which can be included in a bachelor's degree. Please contact us for more information on which degrees this can be part of. 

Practical information

The lectures consist of webinars, a total of 8 to 12 during a semester. In the spring semester, the first webinar takes place in week 3, and in the fall semester, it starts in week 34.  

Webinars: 

  • Last 1 to 2 hours 
  • Typically scheduled once a week or every other week 
  • Always held between 5 PM and 9 PM, Monday to Thursday 
     

In addition to webinars, the online courses include various learning activities, such as digital self-assessments, topic videos, assignments, discussion groups, case studies, and more.  

You will have access to all learning activities through a digital learning platform. There, you will also find the study guide, a handbook with assistance and advice on how to navigate the course. 

Exam consists of a 5-hour written exam at the end of the semester, which counts for 100% of the final grade. The exam can be completed individually or in a group of up to 3 students.

Online or in the classroom

The course can also be taken on campus in Stavanger during the day. The course is structured a bit differently here, as you will attend classes alongside full-time bachelor's students. If you prefer this, you can select Stavanger as the study location when you apply.

Time and effort required

All our courses are structured to fit alongside work and family life, but you should allocate some time for study. Therefore, a course of 7,5 ECTS credits corresponds to a workload of at least 200 hours. 
 
The amount of time each participant dedicates to the courses can vary greatly. Classes are scheduled at fixed times, primarily in the afternoons, to accommodate other commitments. You can largely determine how much time you spend on reading and other learning activities based on what best suits your routine. 

Tuition fee

Price will be availible soon.

The tuition fee is invoiced per semester and adjusted annually. It includes access to lectures and the standard examination fee.
