The participation of women as board members and CEOs varies across industries.
The graph below presents the proportion of women CEOs and women on board across various industries in 2023. The proportions vary significantly across industries. They are highest in public services (e.g. private kindergartens), tourism, and farming, and lowest in fishing, mining and oil, construction, and heavy industry.
The proportion of women on board is higher than the proportion of women CEOs. The gap is the widest in contruction, forestry, mining and oil.
