The geopolitical upheaval of recent years has put energy security firmly at the top of the political agenda – and forced a fundamental question: does the answer lie in self-sufficiency and regional resilience, or in deeper international cooperation and diversification? As renewable energy becomes increasingly competitive and emerging markets grow in strategic importance, the tension between national interest and global interdependence has never been more acute. This session explores what the new energy order actually looks like – and whether isolation or collaboration is the smarter path forward.
