As a double Student of the Year at BI and a Young Lions World Champion in Marketing, he combines international recognition with a genuine commitment to giving back to the BI community.

Sigurd began his career journey while still studying, through an internship at Sulland. His creativity and ability to consistently deliver far beyond expectations led to a permanent position immediately after graduation. At the age of 28, he became the youngest ever member of Sulland’s management team. Today, he leads the work as Brand Director at Norway’s largest privately owned automotive group.

Alongside his professional career, Sigurd is an active contributor to BI. He generously shares his knowledge and experience, whether as a guest on the podcast Karriereprat or as an inspirational speaker during the matriculation ceremony.

Sanjin stands out as a unique role model who combines professional strength with a rare sense of compassion and warmth. Throughout his time as a student at BI Stavanger, and in the years that have followed, he has distinguished himself by staying true to his values with great integrity. He is described as someone who dares to forge his own path and inspires others to do the same.

As a former student and now as a professional, Sanjin is someone who always says yes to contributing on campus. He generously shares his life experience and energy with the school’s interns and current students, acting as a catalyst for motivation and personal development among those around him.

A strong advocate for sustainability, peace, and human rights, she exemplifies values-driven leadership and lasting social impact.

Lasse quickly made his mark after graduating by establishing his own marketing agency while working full-time at a start-up within the energy sector. He has demonstrated impressive responsibility and ownership in the company, where he has been a key contributor in securing its operations and financial sustainability.

Lasse is a versatile and creative resource who excels both in front of and behind the camera. With strong marketing expertise, he creates content and campaigns that generate visibility, and he has already distinguished himself as a highly promising entrepreneur with exceptional execution capabilities.

Role: Entrepreneur and Marketer

During her internship, Farstad developed a trading model that was used to invest two billion kroner in the stock and bond markets. This proves that it is possible to achieve an enormous amount as a young student and early in his working career. These are achievements that are inspiring for our students who are looking forward to entering the job market.

Since graduating from BI in 2017, Lisa has achieved an impressive career trajectory. She has quickly progressed through the ranks of the restaurant industry and is now a franchisee for Sabrura Sticks & Sushi. Lisa has distinguished herself as a fearless and decisive leader who combines strong commercial acumen with genuine care for her employees and the local community.

She has received several prestigious awards for her leadership, including the “Superstar of the Year” award within the Sabrura chain. Lisa is also recognised for her passionate commitment to workplace inclusion; through her collaboration with Rosenvik, she has actively recruited people who have previously been excluded from the workforce, an initiative for which she has received formal recognition.

When we call to ask him to share his experiences, and career advice with students, he never says no. Whether it's Back to School, Academic Day, Roadshow, Career Days, Bry deg-week, or anything else. He always says, "Yes, I can come." or "I'm in." This year's Young Alumni graduated as a real estate agent from BI in 2018 and is today one of the founders behind Heime, where the goal is to create neighborhoods and homes where community and social sustainability flourish.

Silje is one of BI’s most prominent entrepreneurs. After graduating, she built the award-winning success story GetInspired, before establishing the investment company Do it with passion by Silje in 2020. Under the same umbrella, she now also runs her own marketing agency and has established herself as a strong voice in both local and national media.

Through her book Våge, vinne og vokse (2022) and her popular “Fremgangsspalte” on social media, Silje generously shares her experiences to help others succeed. She is a frequent guest on various podcasts, including BI’s own Karriereprat, and is an important source of inspiration for anyone who dreams of starting their own business.

Role: Serial entrepreneur, investor and author

Diversity as a superpower for business task solving has a huge impact on society. In addition, the work he has done on the establishment and management of Turban Day is recognized. 

As well as being the chief analyst in Nordea's Sustainable Finance department. She is known for her positive attitude and contribution to panel debates and events and is a strong ambassador for BI. Her career path is inspiring for our students who are looking forward to entering the job market. 

At the same time, Nikolai was one of the best students in the year he graduated from BI. He received the London Bridge Ward Scholarship for further studies at Cass Business School in London. In London, Nikolai had several internships, including at the London Stock Exchange. After completing his Bachelor's degree at BI, he started as an Execution Trader at Beringer Finance. He worked there for a year before taking a master's in International Security at IBEI in Barcelona. During the finalisation of his master's thesis in spring 2020, Nikolai started his own company BlueC together with two friends. A company that builds a business model around ocean-based ecosystem services.

In addition, she is regional director for the Nordics and the Baltics in the Manpower group, where she has been top manager for the past 12 years. She has also previously been in the top management of Storebrand. As a manager, Maalfrid focuses on motivating his employees. She believes that motivation in the form of responsibility is important for satisfaction in the workplace. She is a person who focuses on people's lives and professional development.
