Become a mentor

By sharing your knowledge as a mentor, board member, or participant in programme advisory councils, you not only help others grow but also broaden your own understanding of emerging trends and new generations.

Why become a mentor?

This is an opportunity to give back to the academic community while also developing your own leadership skills:

  • Promote diversity: Help shape and inspire the talents of tomorrow.
  • Gain new perspectives: Gain insight into the interests, ambitions, and challenges of today’s students and future workforce.
  • Expand your network: Become part of a professional network of mentors and resource people connected to BI.
Your role as a mentor

The programme runs for one year, and we are looking for individuals who want to serve as both an inspiration and a trusted sounding board. Through regular meetings, you will help the student with:

  • Connecting academic theory to real-world business practice.
  • Reflecting on career choices and areas of specialization.
  • Bridging the gap between studies and a first job or further master's studies.
Would you like to contribute?

We are looking for professionals with a few years of industry experience who are passionate about guiding and supporting others.

Does this sound interesting to you or your organisation? Contact Adriana Jansen at adriana.jansen@bi.no for an informal conversation about how you can contribute as a mentor.
