Hvordan bruker vi all denne rapporteringen?

AI for Accountability: Enhancing Transparency in Global Supply Chains
Abhishek Dewangan, Data Analytics & Sustainability Lead, Microsoft EMEA HQ
Supply chains face mounting pressure for sustainability, compliance, and resilience, yet fragmented data often erodes trust. This session explores how Artificial Intelligence transforms accountability by automating traceability, validating emissions data, and detecting anomalies across multi-tier networks. We’ll examine practical applications—from Scope 3 carbon accounting to regulatory reporting—and show how AI can turn complexity into clarity. Attendees will gain insights into building digital trust, improving data quality, and leveraging predictive analytics to meet both compliance and commercial goals.

Information in English
Welcome to Persson Seminar 2026!
We are increasingly reporting on all types of key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure transparency, traceability, and insight into supply chains.
How do we actually derive benefit from all this data and reporting?
Effective information flow has been a fundamental principle as long as the field of logistics and supply chain management has existed. This is nothing new. Yet, until the digital age, establishing a high-quality flow of information remained a challenge. Digitalization has completely transformed this landscape, and the problem has now been flipped on its head: there is so much information in flow that we are drowning in data, KPIs, and reporting.
Additionally, numerous new regulations and practices require follow-up. In December, it was reported that Norway implemented 597 EU laws in 2025, many of which concern sustainability, transparency, and security. This requires companies and supply chains to procure data and use it actively to gain insight, traceability, and control.
How do we utilize all this reporting? Do we gather data and KPIs merely for the sake of reporting, or do they contribute commercial value? What is the actual quality of the data and KPIs, and can AI help elevate both quality and utility?
During the Persson Seminar 2026, we will therefore discuss various aspects of KPIs for improved information flow in supply chains. We will highlight sustainability—such as CO2 (carbon accounting, Scopes 1, 2, 3)—transparency and traceability (Compliance), and security (Cybersecurity). This includes how we generate KPIs, how we use them, how they influence our behavior, and, not least, how we create value in supply chains through effective information flow.
