Cecilie Skram Gil

I am a Lecturer at the Department of Marketing at BI Norwegian Business School, with a strong passion for connecting academic theory with real-world business practice.
My areas of teaching include Marketing, Brand Management, Consumer Psychology, Marketing Communication, and Digital Tools and Technologies in Marketing. I strive to help students see how these subjects interconnect, creating a cohesive and valuable learning experience. From 2021 to 2025, I served as Academic Lead for economic and administrative education at Fagskolen Rogaland (Rogaland Polytechnic College), where I played a key role in securing program area accreditation. I also led the development of several applied programs—such as Tourism and Entrepreneurship, Digital Marketing, HR, Retail Management, and Project Management—created in close collaboration with industry partners to meet evolving professional demands. I am known as a strong relationship builder and deeply value collaboration with both students and the business community. Currently, I am also responsible for didactics in business and economics subjects at the University of Stavanger, where I teach future educators in both General and Vocational PPU (Postgraduate Certificate in Education) programs. I hold a Master of Science in Business from CERAM European Business School in France, a Bachelor's degree in Marketing from BI, and a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PPU) from the University of Stavanger. My academic background is further strengthened by studies in leadership, communication, PR, cyber security, and hospitality management. With experience as a lecturer, teacher, and journalist, I am committed to clear communication, critical thinking and creating engaging, practice-oriented learning environments.
